As part of our efforts to improve accessibility in teaching and learning, the Digital Pedagogy Project was pleased to have Dr. Melanie Coughlin deliver a workshop in November. Dr. Coughlin offered tips on specific strategies to make course materials accessible, and also provided nuanced guidance on how to think about the problem of inaccessibility in terms of the choices we make when designing our courses. Among the resources Dr. Coughlin developed for this workshop was a slide deck with a concise overview of accessibility-informed course design. We are pleased to share those slides here. You can learn more about Dr. Coughlin’s work on her Carleton University webpage and her personal website.
