Project Objectives

  1. Develop a system-level security threat model for IoT-enabled e-health systems.

  2. Build a horizontal cybersecurity and interoperability platform to seamlessly integrate heterogeneous medical IoT devices to reduce the system threat surface

  3. Develop an effective and flexible security management layer that enables role and attribute-based access to medical devices and data

  4. Develop a real-world demonstration in a hospital environment that implements the different technologies developed in the project

  5. Initiate a road map for security in IoT-enabled e-health systems in Canada through a “best practices” guide
