Holiday closure

The university will be closed from Thursday, December 24 through Tuesday, January 5 (inclusive).

  • We will re-open on Wednesday, January 6th. 
  • Classes start on Monday, January 11th.

Survey reminder: Deadline Sunday, December 20th

The Centre for Initiatives in Education wants to hear about your experience in ESP/IESP so far. Thousands of former students have shared their thoughts and helped make the program what it is today.

We are considering changes to support you better in the online environment this Winter, so please respond to get your ideas heard!

  • The survey is anonymous. If you choose to provide your name at the end of the survey, you will be entered into a draw to win a $100 gift card!
  • Estimated time to complete the survey is 8 minutes.
  • The survey closes on Sunday, December 20th, at 11:59pm.

UPASS opt out

Your winter term fees include $218 for the winter UPASS (student bus pass) fee. With classes online, you might not need a UPASS. If not, you can opt-out to cancel the charge; see the instructions here.

Bursary funds available

The Carleton University Student Government has created the Ravens Academic Relief Bursary to help students offset the costs of webcams, textbooks and other academic expenses. The deadline to apply is January 18th.
