Dr. Thomas Walker is an Assistant Professor in Environmental Engineering at Carleton University. His research focuses on air pollution and climate change. Before joining Carleton, he was a postdoctoral scholar at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL), using satellite data to learn about the climate effects of recent changes in air pollutants.
Aditya Shailendra Patel is a Master’s candidate in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Carleton. His research will analyze this year’s GEOD@C data product to learn about the impacts of lightning on built infrastructure and human health.
Evina Novi Thekkudan joined the team as a MITACS Globalink research intern in the summer of 2022 from Chennai, India. She studies computer science engineering at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology and has one year left in her degree. She is also a proud member of Women Who Code.
Emily Girard worked on the first GEOD@C challenge as a summer intern in 2022. She is in her second year of study in civil engineering.
Emory Shantz joined us through the I-CUREUS program in the Fall of 2022. She is in her second year of study in environmental engineering.
