Bronwyn Williams

Research Assistant

Degrees:B.A. Hons. (Carleton University)

Bronwyn Williams is a recent Psychology B.A. Honours undergraduate from Carleton University working in Dr. Ysseldyk’s lab as a research assistant. With the supervision of Dr. Ysseldyk, Bronwyn completed her honours thesis titled “Existential Authenticity, Religiosity and Mental Health: Age Differences in an Increasingly Secular Society”. In addition to working on a publication of her undergraduate thesis, Bronwyn is administrating and conducting qualitative interviews, transcription, and analyses for the “Gerotranscendence and Secularization of Society” research at the Social Identity & Health Lab.

Looking to the future, Bronwyn is writing graduate applications for September 2025, aiming to become a clinical psychologist. Her hope is to one day be an advocate for evidence based, positive health behaviour interventions (i.e. physical activity and coping strategies) and how implementation may impact those struggling with mental illness.
