Erika Uzoegwu recently completed her fourth year at Carleton University, earning a degree in Health Sciences with a concentration in Global Health. She is currently engaged with the Social Identity & Health Lab through the Carleton Equity Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Summer Research Award, under the supervision of Dr. Renate Ysseldyk. Erika is deeply passionate about health policy and creating social change for marginalized populations. Her summer research project focuses on understanding the relationship between race, ethnicity, religiosity, and healthcare perceptions among older adults, with the goal of promoting a more inclusive healthcare landscape.
