Dwight Bero Jr. is the post-secondary manager for the Ahkwesahsne Mohawk Board of Education (AMBE). He was born and raised on the Akwesasne Mohawk Territory. In 2011, he graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in Native American Studies and a minor in War and Peace. In 2016, he graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth with a master’s in Tribal Administration and Governance, focused on ethics, leadership and management from an Indigenous perspective.

“I look forward to being a part of the CU Indigenous Strategic Initiatives Committee and working with faculty, staff, students and other community representatives,” says Bero.

The vision of the AMBE’s Post-Secondary Assistance Program (PSAP) is to empower Akwesasnro:non to take leading roles in the community by pursuing post-secondary education. The program provides information and financial assistance.
