Lev Blumenfeld is an associate professor in Carleton’s School of Linguistics and Language Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
Blumenfeld’s research focuses on the sound structure of languages, the interface of language and poetics, and the formal theory of grammar. He is involved in the documentation and lexicography of Nauruan, an Oceanic language of the Central Pacific.
He has taught courses on phonology, phonetics and historical linguistics.
