Irbaz utilized a metabolomics-guided natural discovery approach to purify and structurally characterize new metabolites from endophytes of Vaccinium plants. He was co-supervised by Mark Sumarah (research scientist; AAFC and adjunct professor; Carleton University) and his work resulted in several publications.
