Alex Aitken
Degrees: | MSc Chemistry with specialization in Chemical and Environmental Toxicology (2023), BSc Chemistry (Carleton University, 2019) |
Alex purified and structurally characterized natural products from endophytes of bearing plants to identify strains producing compounds that inhibit pathogens of the host plants. He was co-supervised by Mark Sumarah (research scientist; AAFC and adjunct professor; Carleton University). After graduation, Alex joined Sciex in Vaughan as a hardware verification specialist. Alex has several articles with the group.
