Welcome to Carleton Model NATO 2018
At Carleton MNATO 2018 delegates participate as part of five-person teams, representing a NATO Member State, or participate as individuals representing a NATO Partner State on the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Committee (EAPC). Each delegate sits on one of our five NATO committees to debate Alliance policy and manage crises.
This year’s five committees are:
- North Atlantic Council (NAC)
- Military Committee (MC)
- The Committee on Proliferation (CP)
- Euro-Atlantic Partnership Committee (EAPC)
- Civilian Emergency Planning Committee (CEPC)
New to Carleton MNATO this year is the addition of the fast-paced Civilian Emergency Planning Committee (CEPC). This committee is the top NATO advisory body for the protection of civilian populations and infrastructure against terrorism and humanitarian disasters. Delegates on this committee will work closely with their teammates to provide advice and expertise on the practical implications of actions taken in response to both regular Committee developments and Crisis response.
