Susan Phillips, a professor in the MPNL program, speaks about the challenges that charities have faced over the past year. In “Changing Times for Charities in Canada,” she tells Mary Giles that Canada’s 86,000 charities account for 10 percent of jobs in Canada and that nonprofits have been significantly impacted during the COVID-19 pandemic: almost 70 per cent experienced a reduction in revenues.
