Every year, the Master of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership (MPNL) program, at Carleton University, in Ottawa, Canada, hosts at least one International Visiting Scholar for one to three months, with specific timing flexible in 2025.

The expectations are that the scholar will engage with faculty and students, provide a guest lecture in a class or two, give a public presentation, and contribute short pieces or sit for an interview with PANL Perspectives. Our graduate students are on campus, in Ottawa, for the last two weeks in June, for our Summer Institute, which is the best time to visit. Outside of those two weeks, classes are online.

We cover travel and most accommodation costs. It’s anticipated that the International Visiting Scholars are faculty on sabbatical or leave from their home institutions and have an active research agenda in philanthropy and nonprofit studies.

Please submit a one-page statement of interest and a cv to:

Dr. Anil Varughese, MPNL Graduate Supervisor, at AnilVarughese@cunet.carleton.ca, by September 1, 2024, for a visit in 2025.
