Jules Morden
Research Assistant
Jules Morden is an MPPA student at Carleton, but currently resides as a guest on unceded Sto:lo territory (also known as Chilliwack, British Columbia) where she grew up. Jules recently finished her undergraduate degree in Political Science at the University of the Fraser Valley. During that time, she worked as a research assistant on two projects examining patient safety in Canadian healthcare and the intersections of race, gender, and Indigeneity. This experience with hearing patient voices firsthand humbled as well as inspired her to continue her studies in public policy with a focus in health equity. Since starting the MPPA program in Fall 2020, she has been hired on as a research assistant to this incredible Rebuilding First Nations Governance project. While just getting started, Jules believes the work has already been very rewarding and she is grateful for this opportunity to learn more about Indigenous governance and work with inspiring leaders driving positive change in their communities.
