Example PET image reconstructions

Zahra successfully defended her PhD thesis

Kernel-Based PET Image Reconstruction using Dynamic PET and MR Anatomical Information

In this thesis, we explored PET image reconstruction using kernel expectation maximization (KEM) using multiscale wavelet kernels, MR prior information, and feature-driven spatial weighting. This work was co-supervised with Dr. Robert deKemp and was done in conjunction with The University of Ottawa Heart Institute. We also had great support from Prof. Guobao Wang at the University of California, Davis.

Zahra now moves on to a post-doctoral position with National Research Council Canada (NRC).

Congratulations Zahra!
