Kim Matheson
Kim Matheson is the Vice-President (Research & International) at Carleton University, and a Professor in the Department of Psychology and Department of Neuroscience. She is also on the Advisory Board of the Social Interactions, Identities, and Well-being program of CIFAR, the Science Advisory Board for the University of Ottawa Institute of Mental Health Research, and the Board of Directors of the Ottawa Network for Education. Her research concerning the effects of collective trauma, stigma and discrimination on stress-related physical and psychological well-being. Her most recent work focuses on the social identity factors that promote resilience, particularly among at-risk populations.
