Sohini Chatterjee is a PhD Student in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at Western University, and holds an MA in International Relations from South Asian University, New Delhi. Sohini primarily works on queer and trans cultural studies, trans and queer activism, and resistance movements focused on South Asia. Her work has so far appeared in South Asian Popular Culture and Fat Studies. She is currently co-editing a volume entitled Autoethnography of ‘Plural Feminisms’: Narrativising Resistance as Everyday Praxis which seeks to explore resistance practices employed by variously minoritized people in the everyday.

Sohini currently serves as Commissioning Editor for E-IR where she works on amplifying the voices and scholarship of Queer IR scholars as queer scholarship in the field of International Relations remains marginalized. Previously, Sohini was the non-fiction project editor for HYSTERIA: feminisms radicalism periodical and activist platform.

Sohini is actively involved in advocacy at Western. She currently serves as Gender Equity Officer of PSAC Local 610, union of TAs and Postdoctoral Scholars. She also Chairs the Accessibility Committee, Co-Chairs the Equity Committee, and serves as Queer of Colour Representative of the Anti-Racism Committee at the Society of Graduate Students at Western.
