Student Bio
Alexsander Cássio Aguiar Antunes Costa is a Master of Applied Sciences: Mechanical Engineering Candidate at Carleton University. He received his bachelor’s degree in Control and Automation Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in 2020.
Alexsander’s academic career was guided by his everlasting desire for learning and curiosity towards technology. His main current research interests are Deep Learning, Effective Computing and Machine Learning in general.
After adventuring himself in the Web Development field for two years, he joined the Computational Intelligence Laboratory of UFMG in 2018, to which he still contributes voluntarily. His work there was mostly in the development of regression, classification and clustering models based on specific knowledge and analysis of datasets using Machine Learning.
Alexsander believes that it is his responsibility as an engineer to engage in the development of science and arts of engineering to best serve the interests of our society.
