Landmarks, museums and galleries
Area X.O: orange marker. Carleton University: red marker. OTTAWA sign in the ByWard Market: gold star.
The blue museum markers highlight six major institutions: the Canadian Museum of History, Canadian War Museum, Canadian Museum of Nature, National Gallery of Canada, Canada Aviation and Space Museum, and the Canada Science and Technology Museum. As a lifelong Ottawa-Gatineau National Capital resident, I simply adore all of them. Please take the time and use the discount code from Ottawa Tourism in your brochure!
Gatineau Park: green tree marker at the visitor centre in Chelsea, a useful gateway to the park. Plan for a transit trip or drive, and check admission and opening hours, they get busy this time of year if you drive that parking can fill up… but don’t worry, there is tons! Make sure no matter what you find some greenspace around the region to enjoy the fall colours!
Thank you for visiting the wonderful city we are lucky to call home.
