Student Bio
Gilmar Tuta Navajas is a robotics engineer in the aerospace industry. He completed his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on robotics and control at the University of Ottawa. He received his bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga in 2016.
Since 2014, he has worked on the design, development, and building of different types of drones such as multi-copters, weight shift control (WSC), and lighter than air (LTA) drones. His interests include the modelling, simulation, control, and programming of robots and automated systems. He also has experience in the development of biosensors for environmental applications.
