Student Bio
Mir Hossein Negahban joined LARCASE as a PhD student in Jan. 2021 under the supervision of professor Ruxandra Botez at École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS), Montreal, Canada. He obtained his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering – Fluid Mechanics. During his Master’s, he worked on the fluid-structure interaction of morphing wings, which directed his interests towards morphing wing technologies, and published his first journal paper regarding morphing wings in 2018. Currently, he is working on the aerodynamic optimization of morphing wings.
During the first year of Mr. Nagahban’s PhD, he published three conference papers, one extended abstract in 2022, and has two journal papers that are currently under review.
Mr. Nagahban is a current student member in American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
