Student Bio
Mohammad Hosein Saeedinia starts his Ph.D studies at (Université du Québec en Outaouais) UQO university in 2022. He works under the supervision of Professor Ana-Maria Cretu and Professor Shamsodin Taheri. His Ph.D. thesis concerns the control of UAVs in variable harsh conditions.
Mohammad Hosein received a B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from Semnan University, Semnan, Iran, in 2014, and an M.Sc. degree in power electronics and electrical machines from Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University, Tehran, Iran, in 2018. For more than four years, he has worked on designing, modeling, and improving electrical machines and power electronics converters. He has gained experience in controlling power converters as a part of his MSc thesis, which has led to one IEEE Transaction journal paper, three conference papers, and one Iranian journal (TJEE) paper. For about three years, Mohammad Hosein also worked at Electrogen company (the biggest electrical machine manufacturer in Iran) as a research and development engineer. Besides, he worked on modeling a network-integrated Flywheel Energy System at the Iranian Niroo Research Institute, resulting in one IEEE Transaction on Energy Conversion journal paper. Moreover, as a participant in industrial projects, he has gained expertise in controlling different electrical machines, including induction machines, BLDC machines, and DC machines. He is a member of the technical committee of two Iranian standards and a peer reviewer of the JESTPE journal. All his mentioned experiences, from research to implementation, will be utilized to improve the UAV’s endurance and performance based on the development of hardware structure and their related controlling methods.
His research interests include model predictive control of power converters and drives, system modeling and optimization, and Artificial Intelligence application in power electronics.
