Student Bio
Paul Gérard is a Belgian student originally from Brussels. He completed his bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering at École Centrale des Arts et Métiers (ECAM Brussels).
Since September 2022, he pursues his master’s degree in automation and control engineering at ECAM. He has worked on several projects involving mathematical modeling and control of various systems.
After 4 years of studies in Belgium, the opportunity arose for a double degree, thanks to a collaboration between ÉTS in Montreal and ECAM in Brussels. This proposal immediately piqued his interest, giving him the opportunity to travel during his studies, to encounter a new culture, a new way of understanding the world of work. Interested in the aerospace industry, he chose to study for a master’s in aerospace engineering at ÉTS.
Paul’s aim is to combine his two expertise fields into his future research and master’s thesis. He hopes that UTILI will provide him an appropriate environment to pursue his studies and specialize himself in UAVs control.
