The Underhill Colloquium Planning Committee is pleased to announce that Jean-Pierre Morin is scheduled to deliver this year’s luncheon address.

Jean-Pierre Morin is an adjunct professor and Public Servant in Residence at Carleton University. Since 2000, he has served as the staff historian for Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada. He served as the first Vice-Chair of the International Federation of Public History, and was involved in the establishment of the Public History working group at the Canadian Historical Association, acting as the working group’s chair from 2009-2010. His publications about Indigenous people’s histories and treaty rights appear on many governmental websites and monographs. His current interests include digital historical learning tools and web content, and leading national commemoration projects for the bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the 250th anniversary of the Royal Proclamation of 1763.
