Carleton University conducted a review of its Coordinated Accessibility Strategy throughout the 2019-2020 school year. Throughout this process, we committed to consulting with the community to garner feedback regarding accessibility on campus.
During the drafting phase of the consultation process, we actively sought feedback on the entire strategy, including its objectives and recommendations, which are categorized into seven primary areas of focus. Likewise, during the listening phase, we gathered feedback across these same seven broad themes:
- Coordination and leadership
- Education and training
- Information and communication
- Physical campus
- Employment and employee support
- Student support services
- Research and development
This feedback has been examined and assessed in the creation of the Coordinated Accessibility Strategy. A summary of the consultations that took place is on the Community Outreach Record page.
