Megg is the program coordinator for the Professional Education for Accessibility Competence training program, also known as PEAC. She is a higher education professional with a variety of practicum and work experiences across the fields of social work and education. With a passion for life-long learning, Megg applies her education and experience as a means to create opportunities for others to participate in accessible and inclusive learning. She brings to the team skills in educational development and technology, one-on-one and group facilitation and training, as well as person-centred approaches that highlight self-advocacy, metacognition, and capacity building.

Previously, Megg worked at the Centre for Student Academic Support, where she supported students to develop effective learning and writing skills and strategies in order to work toward academic success. Megg also has experience as a team leader for a local small business where she initiated hiring practices to include people with intellectual disabilities in partnership with March of Dimes Canada.

Megg holds a Masters in Education with a specialization in Teaching and Learning, a Bachelor’s in Social Work with a minor in Human Rights and Social Justice, a Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate, a Teaching and Training Adult Learner’s Certificate, a Certificate in Mindfulness-Based Adult Education, and is currently pursuing a Certificate in E-Learning Development.
