The ACE Lab is pleased to announce that students Alexia Ziccardi (left image) and Melanie Turabian (right image) were awarded Collaborative Learning of Usability Experiences (CLUE) internships for 2020-2021.

Alexia Ziccardi is second year student at the Institute of Cognitive Science (ICS) working on her thesis in the ACE laboratory. She is using linguistics theory from an applied perspective to inform advancements in communication for pilots. Alexia’s CLUE Internship is with the National Research Council of Canada.

Melanie Turabian is a second year student with the Human Computer-Interaction program at Carleton University. Melanie’s research focuses on the neural correlates of aging as it relates to the field of general aviation. Her CLUE internship is with the Cognos Analytics design team at IBM Studios.
