I am very happy to share that Dr. Peyman Shabani from the Advanced Aircraft Design Laboratory was awarded the Canadian Association for Composite Structures and Materials (CACSMA) Timotei Centea Memorial Award for Best PhD Thesis at the CANCOM 2026 Conference held at the University of British Columbia on 10-13 August. Peyman’s thesis, Virtual Testing of Aerospace Composite Laminates: Impact and Fatigue, was selected by CACSMA for this prestigious award established in memory of Timotei Centea.
