-Our joint paper with Jinan University and NRC in Ottawa in the journal “Light Science and Applications” about using plasmon-assisted tilted fiber Bragg gratings to monitor the state of charge of supercapacitors is identified as one of the Research Highlights described in the December 2018 issue of Nature Photonics. It is the second time that our TFBG work is recognized in such manner. The first time was in the July 2010 issue for our Optics Letters paper about an optical fiber shape sensor.
-Many new exciting ideas to try in the over the next three weeks, as we prepare for the Christmas break, as well as progress meetings and reports to write for ongoing and ending projects.
