Advanced Topics in Foundations for Guided-Wave Optics
Exhaustive review of mathematical and physical principles underlying guided electro-magnetic wave propagation in dielectric structures such as optical waveguides and fibers. Uniform and non-uniform structures using coupled mode theory and perturbation techniques. Wavelength, time, and spatial distribution of light through waveguiding circuits and assemblies for communications and sensing applications. Relevant examples from the most recent literature and research discoveries in the field.
