Victoria Usang Asi was born in Nigeria where she undertook her undergraduate degree in Industrial Physics – Renewable Energy at Covenant University. Her passion for newer, cleaner and sustainable energy sources stemmed from the frustration she suffered from protracted periods of blackout while studying in school. This was as a result of the prolonged sub-optimal performance of the energy/power sector in her country. She went further to research on the “Effects of Harmattan dust on Solar Photovoltaic Output in Southwest Nigeria”.

She is currently a Graduate Research Student studying Sustainable Energy and Public Policy at Carleton University where she is keen on acquiring knowledge that will enable her achieve her ultimate goal, which is to develop sustainable cost-effective energy solutions.
