The Insight Mediation Coaching program is an interactive process designed to help learning mediators maximize their abilities by providing feedback from mediator coaches. The Insight Mediation Coaching program runs from September until June.

The Insight Mediation Coaching program provides support to students preparing for the Skills Assessment (Laws 5709) requirement of the Graduate Diploma in Conflict Resolution (GDCR) program. Using the Insight Mediation approach developed at Carleton, the program educates mediator mentors on how to coach learning mediators. Coaches become proficient at providing  feedback and inviting the learner to clarify objectives and create an action plan to achieve those objectives.

In addition to providing valuable support to students of the GDCR program, participants in the Insight Mediation Coaching program benefit from professional development and being part of a community of practice. Coaches are involved in academic activities at Carleton University and activities sponsored by CCER, including workshops, presentations, the Annual Symposium on Conflict Resolution, facilitated meetings and other conflict resolution services.

Participation in the Insight Mediation Coaching program is by invitation, interested parties should contact Neil Sargent, CCER Director.
