2021 has begun the way 2020 finished – with an ongoing global pandemic and climate crisis. This ongoing crisis of humanity continues reminding us all how interconnected humans are across the globe. We are also more aware every day of the possibilities of fighting back against environmental degradation when we work together in unity, and the devastating consequences if we do not.

Every year we are reminded how vital it is to organize and mobilize for climate and social justice.

Join Climate Convergence and climate justice and Indigenous rights organizers from around the world to reflect on what we have all learned from our work in 2020, how we are applying it to 2021, and what we all think are the best possibilities we have to build a truly international movement to defend our lives and planet.

Featuring:
KANDI WHITE – (Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara) – Currently Lead Organizer with Indigenous Environmental Network (IEN), on the Extreme Energy & Just Transition Campaign, focusing at present on creating awareness about the environmentally & socially devastating effects of hydraulic fracturing on tribal lands and working towards a Just Transition away from the fossil fuel industry. She was also an organizer and spokesperson during the struggle against the Dakota Access Pipeline at Standing Rock.
