The Bank Street 6/7 forum that Free Transit Ottawa organized this past September was very successful.  In addition to attracting over 50 people, it resulted in the creation of the Bank Street Transit Action Group to build broad support for the demands for improvements that the forum attendees wanted to see implemented.  Reports on the forum and its results led a number of groups we were working with in the Rideau-Vanier area to ask us to help organize a similar forum focused on the bus routes in that area.  We have done this, and the forum is scheduled for Saturday February 22.  As was the case with the first forum, the aim will be to create another transit action group that will seek to build popular support for the transit improvements they seek.

Please help us publicize the forum.  If you know people living in the Rideau – Vanier area, or have contact with any local groups, let them know about the forum.  And, if you live in that area, consider attending yourself.
