Faculty of Engineering and Design
The Faculty’s bachelor of engineering program in sustainable and renewable energy is comprised of two streams:
- Smart Technologies for Power Generation and Distribution (delivered through the Department of Electronics).
- Efficient Energy Generation and Conversion (delivered through the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering).
It is an interdisciplinary program that explores new technologies in energy production and transmission, allowing students to take full advantage of the knowledge and expertise the Faculty has to offer in electrical, mechanical, computer systems and environmental engineering.
The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering offers course in Building Engineering which exposes students to technology subjects related to energy conservation, energy efficient HVAC and solar energy technology applications.
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering offers cross-disciplinary undergraduate programs in both Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering exposing students to subjects related energy, waste and water across many transportation, industrial and manufacturing sectors.
Faculty of Public Affairs
Through an undergraduate program in Public Affairs and Policy Management, students have an opportunity to explore issues of environmental policy and sustainable development through the selection of a specialization in Public Policy and Administration.
