Since 2000, the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) has administered the Green Municipal Fund (GMF), supporting a variety of municipal sustainability initiatives. These initiatives include those which improve energy efficiency, support green transportation alternatives, and implement recycling systems. In this presentation, Mr. Wren will provide an overview of sustainable energy projects supported by the GMF within municipalities. This will include Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) programs, Virtual Net Metering, Smart Solar optimization with battery storage, micro grids, Electric Vehicles, and net zero energy buildings.
