As part of the Indigenous Youth Futures Partnership, a forum on First Nations Youth Transition to High School was held in Thunder Bay. The forum brought together First Nations youth from three high schools in Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay together with researchers, members of community organizations, health, education and youth services to share expertise and explore an action and research agenda to promote student success and wellness. Carleton students Mackenzie Doiron, Ashley Herfst, and Ariel Root mentored the high school students as they prepared for the forum. Read more here.
