Dr. Grégoire is one of seventeen researchers supported by the Joint Genome Institute to study novel mechanisms for rare earth element metabolism in bacteria. This research combines RNA sequencing and metabolomics to characterize how redox potential controls metabolic pathways that rely on these critical metals.
