Kennedy Laborde Ryan graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2015 with a major in Media, Information, and Technoculture. She worked in advertising as a copywriter before choosing Carleton to pursue her research interests which focus on contemporary narratives surrounding the wellness industry. She is particularly interested in how individuals sort through conflicting, often-changing information about what is healthy and what is not.
Kennedy is currently working on a research project about the rising popularity of plant-based milks in Canada and what it means for the established dairy industry.
