Research Project: Use of freezing liquid in enhancing pile-soil adfreez strength

Amir works on developing an innovative technology for retrofitting existing foundation systems in warming permafrost. This new technique will locally decrease the temperature around pile foundations to improve pile-soil strength by possible freezing the pile surrounding soil. This project is done through collaboration with NRC research team on Climate Change adaptation group.
