Hamid completed his Master of Applied Science, Civil Engineering at Carleton University. He was born in Iran and received his B. Sc. degree in 2010 from the K. N. Toosi University of technology in Civil Engineering. His area of research was related to the Geoenvironmental Engineering, with a particular focus on evaluation of the performance of Geosynthetic Clay Liners (GCLs) in modern solid waste landfills. Currently, he is investigating the performance of pile foundations in the warming permafrost.
