Enhancement of bearing capacity of cast-in-place piles using a hook system
An innovative “hook” system is investigated in this project to explore the possibility of increasing shaft capacity of cast-in0place concreate piles. This hooks will be used in the outer suface of the piles to increase the pile-soil interface strength.
- Attached to steel rebar, closed during placement, opens up after installation
- Increase shaft capacity by increasing pile-soil interface resistance (surface roughness)
