An international research team, led by Prof. Oren Petel of Carleton University, has been funded to develop diagnostic tools that can integrate into an improved headform in an effort to improve helmet evaluation and trauma prevention. The team consists of 4 Professors at 3 institutions (Oren Petel, Carleton University; Blaine Hoshizaki, University of Ottawa; Hanspeter Frei, Carleton University; and Patrick Bishop, University of Waterloo), Cadex inc., Defence Research and Development Canada Valcartier, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (U.S. Department of Commerce).
