The Office of the AVP Indigenous Teaching, Learning and Research (ITLR) is launching a monthly email newsletter this February.

Nenìnàwinigewining, which means “a place of sharing” in Algonquin, will provide a platform to explore and celebrate the work of Carleton’s Indigenous faculty, staff and students. The newsletter will also include updates from AVP-ITLR Kahente Horn-Miller and information about the upcoming and ongoing projects within the Ānako Indigenous Research Institute.

The image displays a panel of three Indigenous women in front of a blue painting. The painting conveys a group of people in front of a night blue sky. Some of the people are bowing, some are drumming. In from of the painting, two of the women in the panel are holding hands. In the foreground, the image shows the back of the heads of the audience. The text above the image reads, "Nenìnàwinigewining; A Place of Sharing"

The newsletter’s name, Nenìnàwinigewining, was provided by Algonquin elder and speaker, Joan Tenasco.

We look forward to sharing our space with you.
