New Fund to Support Indigenous Focused Programming

We are pleased to announce the establishment of a new $10,000 annual fund to support Indigenous-focused programming at Carleton, which is an outcome of collective bargaining with CUASA. Small amounts of funding will be available until the $10,000 is used. This amount will be renewed each fiscal year. Each application is eligible to a maximum of $1,000 for the purchase of items, guest speakers, and other culturally specific needs related to the performance of a faculty member or librarian’s professional, research and/or teaching duties.

Applications are open until December 8, 2025 for Winter 2026 funding. The next round of funding will be available in August 2026.

The Kinàmàgawin Report

Drafted by Carleton’s Strategic Indigenous Initiatives Committee in 2020, the Kinàmàgawin (Learning Together) Report is a revitalized long-term Indigenous strategy with 41 Calls to Action to make Carleton a more welcoming space for current and future Indigenous students and faculty members.
