Distraction or addiction or essential tool, maybe all three, cellphones are everywhere. And this session is about looking about how they can be used to enhance the language learning experience. The goal of this session is not to look at how to use cellphones in class, but rather simply to become familiar with the devices themselves, what kinds of tools they provide, and how students might use them to support their own learning.
In the session, in addition to sharing our own experiences with phones, we will look at:
- Changing phone’s language
- DuoLingo & Memrise
- Target language podcasts
- Audio recorder
- Dropbox & Google Drive
- Techsmith FUSE
- Go Speaky
- Quizlet
- …and your suggestions
