Italian TA
Ciao a tutti!
Mi chiamo Fara!
I’ve been a Teaching Assistant for Italian courses since 2021. In 2023, I taught ITAL 1010 and organized several conversation sessions for students and members of the Society of Dante Alighieri at the LLRC. I speak Persian, Italian, English, and consider myself a bit of a language nerd. For me, learning languages is not just about words—it’s a window into different cultures and an invaluable way to bridge divides in our increasingly polarized world. As a lifelong learner, I’m currently studying French and enjoy exploring the nuances between languages, like ‘essere stato’ vs. ‘avoir été’ or ‘la scelta’ vs. ‘le choix.’ Fascinating, right?
My academic journey has taken me from Milan to Ottawa, where I’m now a PhD candidate in Cultural Mediations. In addition to languages, my interests include curation, museum studies, and Italian art.
