Carleton’s Mini-Courses Program
Orientation: Sunday, May 3rd, 2026
Course Week: May 4th – May 8th, 2026
The Mini-Courses Program (MCP) is a unique event that allows students from grades 8 to 11 in Eastern Ontario and Secondary II to V in Western Quebec to explore a field of study in a university or college setting. Students acquire the knowledge and skills that will help them achieve academic success and promote their interest in pursuing post-secondary studies.
The Mini-Courses Program (MCP) is a school board initiative offered annually by Carleton University and the University of Ottawa. The goals of the MCP program are to:
- Foster the intellectual, social and personal growth of students through the discovery or exploration of a discipline or field of study;
- Encourage students to pursue post-secondary education; and
- Introduce students to the academic programs and resources offered by the region’s post-secondary institutions.
Student registration for MCP 2026 will be open from Monday, January 19, 2026 until Thursday, February 20, 2026.
All student registration is done through your school or school board. Please contact them directly for registration information!
