Carleton’s Mini-Courses Program

April 28 to May 2, 2025

The Mini-Courses Program (MCP) is a unique event that allows students from grades 8 to 11 in Eastern Ontario and Secondary II to V in Western Quebec to explore a field of study in a university or college setting. Students acquire the knowledge and skills that will help them achieve academic success and promote their interest in pursuing post-secondary studies.

The Mini-Courses Program (MCP) is a school board initiative offered annually by Carleton University and the University of Ottawa. The goals of the MCP program are to:

  • Foster the intellectual, social and personal growth of students through the discovery or exploration of a discipline or field of study;
  • Encourage students to pursue post-secondary education; and
  • Introduce students to the academic programs and resources offered by the region’s post-secondary institutions.

Student registration for MCP 2024 is now closed.
