Melanie Chapman, the University Ombudsperson, joined Carleton in May 2020, following the retirement of Jim Kennelly, who held the position for more than 40 years. Melanie spent almost 20 years in the federal public service, working exclusively in conflict resolution and the administration, investigation, and resolution of complaints. She is a double alumna of Carleton University.
