Scholarship and Grant Awards
Erin McCoy and Atara Lonn have been awarded the Ontario Graduate Scholarship for 2024-2025.
Dr. Harasymchuk was awarded a SSHRC Insight Development Grant. This two-year grant will fund projects related to investigating middle aged friendship during life-transitions.
Atara Lonn was awarded the Ontario Graduate Scholarship for 2022-2023.
Marta Kolbuszewska was awarded the SSHRC Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS-M) for 2021 – 2022.
Dr. Harasymchuk won a Faculty of Arts and Sciences Research Excellence Award for 2021-2022!
Marta Kolbuszewska was awarded the I-CUREUS internship for 2020-2021 to examine intimate relationships in the context of COVID-19 (working with Dr. Harasymchuk).
CU COVID-19 Rapid Research Response Grant awarded to Dr. Cheryl Harasymchuk and Dr. Nassim Tabri for the project titled The Psychological Consequences of Social Distancing Measures for Single People During the COVID-19 Pandemic. Atara Lonn joined the team for the COVID study and was awarded a summer research assistant position in order to coordinate the data collection process.
Marta Kolbuszewska was awarded a FASS Undergraduate Summer Research Internship at Carleton University to examine how stress levels during the pandemic are associated with leisure experiences in relationships (working with Dr. Harasymchuk).
Atara Lonn was awarded the Ontario Graduate Scholarship for 2020-2021.
Tia Carpino was awarded the Ontario Graduate Scholarship for 2018-2019.
Shamarukh Chowdhury was awarded the SSHRC Doctoral Fellowships for 2016-2020. She was also awarded the SSHRC Master’s Scholarship for 2015-2016.
Future Endeavours
Marta Kolbuszewska was accepted into the University of British Columbia’s Master of Arts program for Clinical Psychology. She will start her program in the UBC Swell Lab under Dr. Dawson in the 2021 academic year!
After graduation, Chloe Jones took a position at Carleton’s Education Development Center (EDC). Chloe works at the EDC as an e-learning designer.
Following the completion of her studies, Chantal obtained a Research Analyst position at Health Canada.
In addition to her studies, Tia is a full-time research analyst at Women and Gender Equality Canada, the federal government department that works to advance gender equality.
